Capabilities and Contract Manufacturing

Custom Injection Molding:		Blue Ridge Industries inc., maintains an efficient operation which enables us to prosper in markets as competitive as the automotive industry and as exacting as baby toys. The large diversity of molding requirements has created refined skills in molding commodity resins and specialty engineering material, with expertise in polyethylene, ABS, HIPS, polycarbonate, nylon and filled nylon manufactured in both hot and cold molds. We use state of the art injection molding equipment and automation to achieve very high consistency and repeatability in our processes.
Secondary Operations:		Our large facility provides space for all decorating and assembly requirements including mechanical assembly of finished goods. Shrink wrapping and packaging can be staged in a variety of configurations based on end-user customer requirements. We have developed comprehensive expertise in ultrasonic welding, hot stamping and pad printing techniques.
Filling:		BRI can provide a complete turnkey molding/filling operation including injection molding of all plastic components, sourcing all mechanical and electronic components, mixing fragrances to customer formulas, filling and sealing containers, assembly of finished product and retail packaging.
Hydrographic Decoration:		This coating process allows us to decorate almost any irregular shaped object with a random pattern. Typically used in the auto- industry to decorate plastic parts with wood grain patterns, this process can be used to apply film in any of over 200 different finishes, from marble to carbon fiber appearance. Hydrographics gives us flexibility to decorate from one to 1,000 parts without any changes to a customer's production molds. Hydrographic processing requires custom materials that must be matched to customer requirements or selected from stock patterns. Plastic Painting:		Blue Ridge Industries, Inc. has developed an automated plastic painting operation that utilizes in line flame treating, robotic spraying and oven curing of painted product. We can program this process to accept a wide variety of products and finishes resulting in durable, appealing finished product in a manner that is new to many customers.
