Blue Ridge Industries, Inc., an ISO 9001:2008 custom injection molder located in
Winchester, VA is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer. Manufacturing operations
run 3 shifts 5 days per week. Weekends are scheduled based on customer requirements.
Molding Machines range from 85 Ton to 750 Ton. In addition, we operate an automatic
spray paint booth line.
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for the continuous improvement of
manufacturing equipment, methods, materials, safety and quality. Focus of this position
will be on the development and application of advanced technologies including
automation, production methods, and lean manufacturing systems to reduce material
waste, improve quality, increase output, and decrease downtime to improve
profitability. Other duties will include:

Identify and analyze manufacturing problems to control and improve
manufacturing.

Develop measurement systems required to measure facilities metrics and key
process indicators.
- Initiate, manage and participate in safety, quality, cost & process control
improvement projects.

Assists R & D effort to implement new products or process into production.

Develops FMEAs Control Plans, Capability Studies, Flow Analysis, etc.).

Assesses existing processes for areas of improvement utilizing Lean
Manufacturing concepts (Kaizen, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) Six Sigma,
designed experiment techniques, capability studies, etc.

Manages Plant Safety Program and follows all city, state and federal regulatory
legislation (RE: OSHA, EPA, RCRA, UST’s; CERCLA, ECRA, SARA, DOT,
etc.).

Evaluates and recommends implementation of competitive technology.

Provides training, as required, to associates.

Manages Quality Assurance to monitor and document quality standards.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, the following is required (unless otherwise specified):

Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
experience.

Prior related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes involving injection molding, automatic
spray painting, and robotics would be ideal.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Experience working with Solidworks preferred
